What this covers
This policy explains how OpenPay handles personal information when you browse the platform, create an account, submit salary, interview or employer-review information, or contact us.
Information we receive
We receive account details such as your email address and username; the information you choose to submit; technical request data such as a one-way, salted IP-derived identifier used for abuse prevention; and cookie choices. We do not ask for your employer login, bank details, or a copy of your employment contract.
Why we use it
We use information to operate and secure OpenPay, moderate submissions, present aggregated salary intelligence, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use submitted salary information for targeted advertising.
How salary data is shown
Salary and workplace submissions are reviewed before publication. Public views are aggregated and are designed not to identify a contributor. Please do not include names, contact details, confidential documents, or other personal information in free-text responses.
Where data is processed
OpenPay is built for Nigeria, but our hosting and service providers may process data in the European Union and other locations where they operate. We use contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to those transfers.
Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as needed for the purposes above, including fraud prevention and legal recordkeeping. We use access controls, transport encryption, moderation, and monitoring. No online service can promise absolute security.
Your choices
You can ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, object to certain processing where applicable, and opt out of non-essential cookies. Account deletion may not remove anonymised, aggregated statistics that can no longer identify you. See our Cookie Policy for details.
